About the campaign
In 2010, Petrom ran the biggest social media campaign in Romania – “Rediscover Romania”.
For three months, 4 teams of people in social media visited all the country and placed on the Petrom map the most important places and recommendations for anyone who is interested in the authentic Romanian values. They travelled 6.000 km, visited over 70 cities and 100 objectives and put together a map with over 800 recommendations for places to visit in Romania.
Objectives
Petrom has proposed to provide a long-term tourism resource and demonstrate that Romanian tourism is not only Black Sea and Prahova Valley, and we need to rediscover the beautiful places in the country. Petrom decided in 2010 to take the first step and put Romania on the tourists destination map.
In 2011, the campaign’s objective is to involve even more Romanian people and to rediscover the Romanian tradition in the places where it was kept untouched for hundreds of years and to create the most beautiful and actual image of the less known Romania.
